You are a mother now

My life completely changed when I saw those two pink lines. He was equally elated. The first thing people started asking me was -" Do you want a girl or a boy baby?" Honestly I didn't want a girl and I had my own reasons for that.
I didn't want her to be a show piece whom people would judge.
I didn't want her to be a epitome of patience and allow anyone to oppress her.
I didn't want her to be a entertainer in the name of marriage.
I didn't want her to live her life according to others wish.
I didn't want her to cry alone and suffer just because Allah made her different.
I didn't want her to be like me!

But Allah had other plans. He blessed me with a girl. The day I saw her, I started crying, I didn't know whether it was out of joy or sadness. I cried my heart out. She was so tiny and the nurse said she was just like me!

A relationship between a mother and a child is the purest one on the earth. I started falling in love with her every single day. I was thankful to Allah for blessing me with this happiness, which was many people's dream.

I started seeing myself in her. I was elated when she smiled for the first time. She looked beautiful and everyone said she looked just like me! Yes, now I feel, I am beautiful too. She had those eyes which shone with curiosity and innocence. Again, everyone said she looked just like me! Now, I have started loving my eyes too. She is the reason who made me fall in love with myself.

As I started growing up and hearing criticism about myself, at some point of life, I started hating myself. I had lost my self confidence. But my little princess made me restore it. Now, I can proudly say that 'She is like me'.

I have decided to raise her well and educate her.
I have decided to be her friend with whom she can share her joys and sorrows freely.
I will not allow anyone to oppress her and take her for granted.
I will teach her to stand for herself.
I will teach her to accept and love herself no matter how she looks.
Be it any relationship, I will teach her not to bend too much and allow them to step on her.

I hope Allah would help me to raise such a girl baby who would grow up to be a daughter, a woman, a wife and a mother which everyone would be proud of.
