Way of Tears

"I have never seen such an irresponsible person in my life." - Sharath was yelling.

"But I have seen such a person. Infact that person is the most irresponsible one I have ever seen." - Radhika said calmly.

"Really! Who is that?" Sharath raised his brows.

"He"- Radhika pointed towards the mirror. Sharath was stumped. 

Radhika smiled and said -" You are the most irresponsible  person I have ever seen. Did you forget how you used to treat me during initial  days of our marriage?"

"How can you even come up with the same thing after so many years?" He questioned with a frustrated look.

"I can never forget those days. The only difference is now you got to know the real pain when it happened with your daughter. Back then, you forgot that even I was someone's daughter who was raised with utmost care and love." Radhika spoke wiping her tears.

Sharath was guilty now. She was right, in the initial days of their marriage he never treated Radhika in a good way. She was the only child of her parents and was married off at the tender age of 18. Though she wanted to study due to their financial condition her parents married her off to Sharath who was an engineer.  But when Radhika reached their home the environment was different,his parents used to taunt her -" I pity your parents who don't have any son. If you become our slave my son will look after them or else forget about your parents. We won't allow you to meet them." After hearing these words from her in laws Radhika shed many tears. Sharath too followed his parents decision without using his brains. Radhika worked like a maid in his home. She never complained and instead of that Sharath used to look after the expenses of her old parents. However, after three years, they left this world and Radhika alone. 

Now, after so many years the same thing is happening with his daughter, Shiksha.  Shiksha was a fashion designer by profession. Her husband Sathish was selfish and an egocentric man. He married Shiksha only for money and now when she was flourishing in her career he couldn't bear it. He started abusing her verbally and slowly it turned into physical abuse. He started drinking and Shiksha had to bear all the expenses of their son. Sharath was broken when he saw his only daughter in such a stage. Radhika's words kept ringing in his ears -" You will know my pain when you become a father to a daughter oneday."She was indeed right. 

Every tear shed by an innocent girl will always end up in misery of those who are the reason for it.
